Minecraft Addons was redesigned to better reflect the world it belongs to. The original app felt outdated and lacked a clear connection to the Minecraft universe, making it hard to recognize at first glance.
The goal of the redesign was to create a more playful, game-inspired look that instantly feels familiar to Minecraft players, while also expanding the app’s offering beyond 3D textures and guides. As part of the update, new content types such as wallpapers, stickers, and GIFs were added to create a richer and more engaging experience.
Challenges:
A key challenge in this project was creating a strong Minecraft-inspired identity that would be clear from the first glance. At the same time, the app needed to support new types of content without becoming crowded or confusing. The design had to balance a playful, game-like feel with clear structure, ensuring users could quickly understand what the app offers and easily explore its content.Solutions:
